CLIENT/OWNER:
First Columbia, LLC
LOCATION:
Slingerlands, New York

The striking and architecturally distinctive main entrance of this building comprises two opposing curves: the upper curve, which is the window area for the second-floor tenant, arches out.

Beneath this convex arch, the glass entry is a concave arch, allowing covered access in bad weather without the visual distraction of a canopy. The two-story, 49,000-square-foot structure is built into the side of a hill, allowing the building's second floor to have at-grade access from the rear, which is ideal for medical office space.

Once again on this project, Keystone's skills in designing interior space to meet the stringent requirements for ADA, efficiency, and designated use of medical office space, resulted in a building which provides tenants with the most functional space, and provides the owner with flexibility in layout for multiple tenants.

As with many of the developers for whom Keystone Architectural Services provides architectural design, Keystone has teamed with First Columbia on a number of projects. Because of this longstanding relationship, Keystone is thoroughly familiar with First Columbia's preferred construction methods. Consequently, the design and construction documents for this project were assembled quickly and efficiently, allowing First Columbia to meet tenants' time schedules.
